Eugene Jackson, a local philanthropist and co-founder of the Springhouse Corporation, a medical publishing company, identified an unmet need-- individuals who earn too much to qualify for Medicaid but earn too little to afford the cost of private health insurance.
He had a vision of a primary medical and dental clinic with an onsite lab. HealthLink Medical Center is the realization of his dream.
We opened our doors for medical patients in May of 2001 and to dental patients in August of 2001.
All patients must come into the clinic as medical patients and then are eligible to become dental patients. We do not accept patients for dental services only.
Every patient must go through an annual eligibility process to access our services. Patients must be employed, be residents of Bucks or Montgomery counties, have no health insurance and must have incomes no higher than 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
This health center is a Health Center Program grantee under 42 I.S.C. 254b, and a deemed Public Health Service employee under 42 U.S.C. 233(g)-(n).
